WNHP 15, America, submissions deadline approaches

We are working on issue no. 15. The theme is America. Thank you for your support over the years. We are still the only lit journal in zine format dedicated to the personal essay. Think print version of The Moth without the funding and egos. Or, think WNHP, here for you, independent, since 2007.

Submit your nonfiction essay of 1,200 words or less to:   you will always get a personal reply

WNHP 14 is on it's way

We'll Never Have Paris goes into its 9th year of publication with WNHP 14: AWAY. A continued celebration of nonfiction stories, WNHP remains the only zine dedicated to publishing a memoir literary journal in zine format.  We will host a reading in February in San Francisco, TBD and in March at Bluestockings Books in New York City (where I am the zine buyer).  Stay tuned for a list of authors and participants in this year's melancholic issue.

moving into number 13, April

Issue 13 is special for a few reasons. I asked my bff, jaime borschuk, to co-edit this issue with me. I wanted us to have a project together again. Since the title of this issue is West Coast, it seemed fitting that a co-editor would actually live on the west coast, since I no longer live there. Though, I just visited, and enjoyed visiting my zines in person at City Lights Books and the new The Grand Newsstand.

Stay tuned, WNHP 13 will be for sale all over the fuckin' place. Obviously.

The zine that keeps on giving. Have you read WNHP 12? Stories about leaving NY? The next issue's theme, to provide balance, is West Coast. You may not know this, dear readers, but the editor lived on the west coast for 10 years before moving to NYC and then starting WNHP. She was in a band called Plan to Pink with her bff, Jaime Borschuk. They both came to writing after Andria moved to the east coast and Jaime stayed in San Fran. They are joining forces to be co-editors for this next issue. WNHP is going westward for a vacation.

Submit your nonfiction noir, 1,200 words or less, to neverhaveparis@gmail

Deadline is January 20, but why not send a draft, so there's time to do any editing after we read it.

Looking for people, not writers, so, you should go for it. MFA not necessary. I don't have one, either.

Happy holidays. See you after the trees and candles come down.
